Car/Motorcycle Show Part I

Sorry but this was long overdue. This was the first time I've been to either shows. Both were pretty good, just were too many people. Couldn't really take clean shots. Overall it was pretty fresh.

Throwback Thursdays Week 1: Simple Things Edition

Usher - Simple Things

Sometimes we forget about the simple things that are in front of us. You know who I'm talking about. Looking for the wrong things in the places when the right thing has been in front of you the entire time. Open your eyes and just accept the person that's always been there.

Life can be hard sometimes, it can come back and bite you in the ass, but at the end of the day there's always that one simple thing that shouldn't stress you out. It's up to you to figure out what that is. Stop looking for the right things in the wrong places and open you're eyes.

"So you think that you know what's importantSteady chasin' your fame and your fortune
But you don't know
You're chasing a dime losin' a treasure
Those dollars don't make sense to me at all"

Spread Love it's the Brooklyn Way Part II

Here's some pictures around my neighborhood. Lovely sights. There's a reason why I love Brooklyn so much.

My block in Bensonhurst
A couple of neighborhoods away I stopped by the pier in Bay Ridge in Owl's Head Park. What a view.
Verrazano Bridge
On the other side of the pier you have the Manhattan skyline. Remember this is all from Bay Ridge, I haven't even touched Brooklyn Heights or Park Slope yet.

Stay tuned for more of my adventures in Brooklyn!

A Real Life Love Story

Wellington and Mia

This is a tale no a epic love story of two of my closest friends in the world. They deserve a shout out, a post all on their own. What more can I say about these two? The perfect match? The dynamic duo? I can go on and on but words cannot describe how wonderful these two are together, not only as a couple but as best friends. They compliment one another perfectly. Never have I seen two who are more perfect for each other than I have with Wellington and Mia.
Wellington Lantigua
Wellington, my very first friend at Fordham, the biggest hopeless romantic and my first bro there. This guy will always have my back. He is also the weirdest guy I know, but that is what makes him unique. We share similar back stories and I think that's one of the main reasons why we are such good friends. There can never be another Wellington in the world. Thank God, hahahaha.
Mia Reyes
Mia is a trooper, a great listener and a great girl for my main man, but seriously sorry bro I'm only friends with her because of W (JK!). She's always there to remind me what I am worth and to never give up on what I believe in but most important of all to never change who I am no matter what happens to me.
W's 23rd Birthday
Brian's 23rd Birthday
If there was ever a movie to be made about their lives it'd be the perfect script. These two are college lovers, they're college sweethearts. Whenever things never seem to work out the way I want, whenever things would go straight to hell, all I ever needed to do is look at these two to remind me that well, true love does exist and it will only get better. Though I never admitted it but for a while there I stopped believing in happy endings (no pun intended). I went down a spiral path of loneliness and stopped believing in the things that made me who I am, the things that made me smile. It only took one night of catching up to realize that there is someone for everyone. The way they smile at one another, the way they look at each other, it's something powerful that no one or no thing can ever break. In a sea no an ocean of people, I guarantee you that their eyes will only look for one another.
W's 24th Birthday (Hilarious Face)
W's Mom's Birthday
I just hope we are friends long enough so that I can get invited to the wedding. I've compiled these pictures in a span of 2 years in hopes that it will give everyone a first hand view what is unfolding in front of my eyes.

Though I know nothing is perfect as everybody gets into their spats but we all know at the end of the day these guys were meant for one another and that is an inspiring story in itself. I know nothing ever works out the way you want them too, nothing ever goes as planned but one day I know that not only me but everyone will eventually have something as special as theirs.

Might need to watch this on YouTube real quick, embedded doesn't work.

I would just like to thank Wellington and Mia for showing me that even when your heart was once broken, you can't ever stop believing. I wish them nothing but the best and that hope they have many more happy years to come. I think it's safe to safe if our lives were a TV show they would be: (WARNING: 90s NOSTALGIA)

A Reminiscence of London 2012 Part II

I must say I am very grateful for the opportunity that was given to me. If given a chance I would work in London permanently for a year or two. It would be a great experience. I took the red eye flight and man oh man was it tough. I landed 5:30 AM in the morning and wandered aimlessly for a bit before heading into the office.

Eurasia Group London Office
My colleagues here are absolutely amazing. The atmosphere here is completely different from our New York and DC offices. Everyone here is so laid back and calm. They greeted me with open arms and even had a Thursday cake day! How awesome is that!? Granted I had to work literally 24 hours almost everyday but I still enjoyed every moment with my colleagues in London.

I even had an opportunity to go watch one of my co-workers play for her rugby team. Let me tell you right now these women are no joke. They will give some American Football players a run for their money. These ladies are straight beasts!!! Shout out to Louise "L2" the Squared Lumley for the invite! Overall I enjoyed my time in London. I spent it working for the most part and the rest with family. I'll be back there soon!

A Reminiscence of London 2012 Part I

She won't smile!

Helene and I
You can't go to London and not take one of these pictures

There are times in life where you really just sit back and think about all the things you've accomplished in life, all the places you have been to and all the people you have met. Today was the kind of day where I just sat there thinking about all of this.

I took up an opportunity to travel and work in London back in 2012 and I don't regret it one bit. You know the feeling you get when everything just feels right and your literally at peace? Yeah this was the feeling I got as soon as I landed in Heathrow Airport. Luckily for me I have a tremendous amount of family there too so I wasn't alone. I know a lot of people don't really like London as they would rather travel to other places in Europe such as Italy, France, Spain, etc. I honestly would live in London. I love this place so much, there's so much history here. I just love the streets, the atmosphere and the people.

Stay tuned for Part II of my reminiscence of my London trip!

Let Me Give You A Glimpse Into Paradise

Life isn't so bad in paradise... First time in Mexico was really fun. The water was absolutely stunning.

Mexico was something else. I definitely needed to get out of New York. The days that go by with the amount of stress that builds up was getting a little too ridiculous. I'm sure you've all been there. Sometimes a mini getaway is always nice for the soul.

The day I left it was actually pouring, raining ridiculously hard. I thought for sure our flight was going to be cancelled but it wasn't. Everything was on time and on schedule. The flight itself wasn't too bad either. It was about 4.5 hours.

As soon as we landed you can feel the humidity and an immediate change in temperature. It was absolutely fantastic. It wasn't too crowded and everyone was very friendly.

The transport services when you exit the airport are a funny bunch. From the moment you exit the airport you have everyone trying to scam you into taking their taxi. It was hilarious as they tried to do it to me. But as soon as we found our transport cab we were greeted with water and a flowers.

I took this picture as soon as I got to the beach. Welcome to Paradise. Check out more of my Mexico pictures on the Mexico 2013 tab on top of the page or here.
